So who sets property taxes? The value that CAD (Central Appraisal District) sets and mails out about April of every year, the County and City administration along with the other entities (School Districts, Hospitals, Water, etc) needing the funds for their budgets. Do they work together?
So just imagine (this is not really what happens?) that everyone that would have use of tax dollars (this is all legal, you and I cannot ask for these funds) submits what they need and then a great computer entry person inputs all the info for the summit meeting with CAD. Higher taxes to citizens raises payments and affects daily lives.
